On other products which have been noted for either not reported or incorrect product keys is still a mystery to me.In Microsoft Office 2013, a computer must have utility software pack. We know that doesn’t happen in such a case but generally speaking that’s the way it is in the computer world: OS company as well as the manufacturer Come to think of it imagine if I needed to call my insurance company for an incident in my house but I haven’t kept my paperwork and don’t know my account number and they won’t help me. FYI I’m not an expert by any means but thanks to the invaluable information available here on WS, I know enough to keep my computer safe & secure but then also keep product keys in a safe place similar to how I have my mortgage, insurance policies etc.
My 2 cents in this matter: whenever anyone buys any software always get the product key and keep it in a safe place even if he/she doesn’t understand how computers work. I’ve used Magic Jelly bean only a couple of times but I don’t recall them reporting the product key either so I’ve stopped using them altogether Of the computers I’ve checked out with a Microsoft Office 2013 product in which Belarc doesn’t report the product key. Now comes the product key for Microsoft Office 2013 products personally I believe Microsoft is the culprit, I do not know about Apple yet. So I’ll have to double check that if I run into this situation. I’m not 100% sure, but I don’t think it does report the product key for an OS that hasn’t been activated. Belarc has always reported the correct product key for the installed OS as long as it has been activated. I help my family & friends as well as quite a few volunteers at the non-profit organization I volunteer at and I’d like to note the following in my experience Ja圜ee2 you bring up some good points but there is a difference between the OS and other software product keys Those activation numbers are the ones I didn’t save. Then it activates your office installation. There are a string of 8 groupings of numbers that you have to say to the robot and then it tells you what new numbers to put in the 8 boxes on the activation screen and they have to be perfect. It installed fine BUT refused to activate so I had to call the robo-number for MS to get it activated. I was just referring to the online install. I got Office with the key card in it from Walmart and I have that. That way the computer owner can visually see it also and save it in a safe place (well, for those who do anyway) That way the numbers are easily visible and easy to work with

I wouldn’t trust any program right now to come up with a correct Microsoft Office 2013 product key.
